Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Seven Generations Labs LLC (“7gens”, “we”, “us”) about the Pictly app. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. By using the app you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.
What Pictly is — and isn't
Pictly helps you make picture cards for communication (AAC). It is a tool for families, carers and professionals. It is not a medical device and does not replace assessment or therapy by a qualified speech-language professional. Please use it alongside the advice of the people who support your child.
Using the app
You must be an adult (or the age of majority where you live) to set up the app, make purchases and use AI drawing or sharing. A child may use Talk mode under your supervision. Only photograph and share people and things you have the right to, and don't use the app or our servers unlawfully, to send harmful content, or to attempt to access other people's data, reverse engineer or overload our service.
AI drawing
AI drawing uses Google's Gemini models to suggest a card name, a phrase and a simplified picture of your photo. AI output can be inaccurate or imperfect. Please check each card before your child uses it; you can redraw it, edit it or keep your original photo. Each successful drawing uses one credit. Credits are not charged when a drawing fails or is refused for safety reasons, and a retry of the same request is never charged twice. We may limit how many drawings can be requested per hour to keep the service fair and available.
Pictly Plus and credits
The app is free to start with limits on cards, boards and AI drawings. Pictly Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly) that removes those limits and includes a monthly allowance of AI drawing credits. You can also buy credit packs, which are consumable.
- Price: shown in the app in your local currency before you buy, and may include taxes.
- Payment: charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Auto-renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Managing and cancelling: open the iPhone Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → Pictly. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Plus until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Credits: monthly Plus credits reset each billing month and do not roll over. Purchased credit packs don't expire while your account exists. Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred. Deleting your data in the app also deletes your remaining credits.
- Free trials and offers: if available, their length and price are shown before you buy.
- Refunds: purchases are processed by Apple, and refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Shared links
Anyone who has a shared link can open the set for 30 days, after which it is deleted. Only share links with people you trust, such as family members, teachers and therapists.
Our content and your content
The app, its design and its built-in content are owned by 7gens or our licensors. You keep all rights to your photos, recordings and cards. You give us only the permission needed to process a photo for AI drawing and to store and deliver the sets you share, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Availability and changes
Your library, Talk mode, printing and file sharing work offline. AI drawing, purchases and share links depend on our servers and our providers and may occasionally be unavailable. We may update, change or discontinue features.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived, or liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending these terms
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting your data in Settings and deleting the app (and cancelling Plus in your Apple Account settings). We may suspend access to online features if these terms are seriously breached.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for material changes, let you know in the app.
